The law enforcement equivalent, I submit, is the interrogation in a sparse room under a spotlight. The intent is to make a person "crack" and confess, whether or not they've done something wrong.
This is nothing new: law enforcement has been using this process since time memorial. It will get worse when Pishole gets his sworn LEO status for TSA screeners.
The goal is to make you "guilty" whether you are or not.
I agree with your recommendations: there are a lot of other good ways to "secure" aviation without the hard-nose tactics currently employed.
