Our specification in this area for continuous service in J actually composes of a few different components:
* Frequent circulation and visibility in the cabin - so when customers need something, they don't have to wait for a crew to pass by.
* Proactive offering of refills of beverage of choice and not just water service. This goes a long way as the customers won't feel like they have to ask everytime or some will feel that water is the only thing available unless they ask.
Discussions like this are great as it gives us a chance to hear what everyone consider as adequate and would make a great flight and subsequently we can make changes (if needed) based on that.
