TSA used to have that information on their website. However, the website now says, "The Wait Time Calculator is currently under construction. We apologize for the inconvenience while we are working to make the tool more user friendly."

To answer your question, security lines at LAX terminal 3 are highly variable week to week, even flying during the same time periods on the same days of the week. The lines could be very short or very long. There's no way to predict it. Give yourself at least 30 minutes to get through security.

If you're an MVP Gold, SOMETIMES they will allow you to go to the front of the line, but this is very hit and miss too (sometimes you practically have to force yourself to the front of the line when you tell them you're a gold, even though there's a sign specifically indicating the presence of a gold line....as one employee told me, "we don't pay attention to signs").
