An interesting study would be to chart blood pressures of frequent flyers to see if there are significant (or even insignificant) increases in BP while going through security checkpoints and interacting with screeners.
Anxiety-related HPB can be very harmful if it is on-going and happens frequently.
One of our resident docs mentioned something about travel-related stress, if memory serves me correctly. It would be nearly impossible to conclusively demonstrate a causal relationship (too many confounding factors), but I'd willing to bet a paycheck, just by a seat-of-the-pants feeling, it's a stressor.
