You get to nominate someone for Lifetime Elite, I think that's a pretty good addition. As I posted on the other thread, there will be lots of people hitting 2MM in another 10 years, and most of these folks will have another 10 to 20 years of flying ahead of them because they've been able to earn such credits on all their flying as they'd have had AE going for their entire work-related flying lifetimes. AC needs to protect its revenue position and keep them flying with AC rather than defecting to another FF program. They will be earning SE or E, while having the fallback to Lifetime Elite, so I see AC's rationale for keeping the 3MM target for lifetime in its top tier.
Dear SH--3MM means 100,000 miles per year x 30 years flying on AC metal ONLY--that may be theoretically possible but practically will be extremely rare--so lifetime SE will be a rare bird--much like Mr. Bingham!!
