There was a recent posting on this site expressing frustration about the large number of priority boarders who can regularly be found waiting right up at the gate to board first. All too often I've seen mums travelling alone with children get lost in the crowd of Elites, even though they are meant to have 'real' priority access.

Between the above observations, and experiencing many crowded lounges, I do wonder why A.C. doesn't consider raising the Elite threshold to, say, 50,000 status miles. To obtain gold status with only 35,000 miles seems rather generous to me....and takes away from the prestige of the status.

Thoughts anyone?
