Was your MRS-AMS booked as a DL code or another airline code? If booked via DL.com, as you stated, I would assume it had a Delta code. If that were the case then a T fare would earn mileage.

Within the SkyTeam alliance it is the marketing carrier's accrual rules that apply. Use the link in this thread to verify if you purchased class of service earns miles based on the marketing carrier.
