If I'm reading this right and the AA portion of your trip ends at MSP, that would be where you would file a baggage claim--before leaving the airport. If you don't have time to do that, you're setting yourself up for problems.
I don't know how far it is to GFK, but AA would likely offer to FedEx the bags from MSP once they arrive. Again, that's assuming they are delayed. Maybe they won't be.
