I'm curious though. The point of the blocking is, I thought, to prevent access to the cockpit during times the door was open, not access to the pilot or crew. So if it is one of the relief pilots outside the cockpit during his break in flying, why do they not block the area while he is exiting, then just open it back up until he goes back in?
