Interesting. Had zero issues in France - found I was switching networks a lot but always had a data connection. Google Maps and GPS together make for an awesome way to find obscure places you're looking for, especially with street view right on the phone. France, Benelux, Germany, UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea (had to remember to go back to 1XEV instead of 3G/GSM only!) have all served my Storm and Storm2 well!

Except the annoyance of zero OS6 support for the Storm2 has me wanting to jump ship. Thanks to new global Android devices coming for the holidays I may just do so. There's an alleged Storm2 refresh that likely won't be Storm3, merely a memory bump to handle OS6. Not wasting an upgrade just for that.

Why do I like the 9550 click screen? I can type one thumbed extremely fast on the SureType style virtual keyboard. Once I got the hang of it I was amazed how quickly I could bang out emails and text messages. But I'm willing to give Swype a go on an Android device, ideally one with a physical keyboard for a fallback.
