That is very true. I see it all too often.

What really annoys me is people walking along while drinking coffee. If you want/need a cuppa then sit down and drink it.
That doesn't annoy me much as long as the pavement isn't crowded.

However, I do get a bit annoyed when it's crowded. Crowded pavement + hot drinks = accidents waiting to happen. Same with crowded pavement + lit cigarette in one's hand = accidents waiting to happen (I have been burnt accidentally in this situation).

And then there's people so obsessed by their mobile they bump into you as they charge headlong along the pavement.
Ha, that annoys me too. I don't mind people talking and walking as long as they maintain their situational awareness but many don't.

(By the way I'm 60 so qualify as a grumpy old man I'd guess.)
What does that make me, a grumpy middle aged woman (I'm in my 30s)?

While I'm at it, it annoys me when people eat at the buffet, especially when it's crowded. Why block other people from approaching the buffet? It's designed to take the food away from it, not stand there eating right in front of it. Even worse is when people leave dirty crockery/cutlery right on the buffet!
