I had the original Storm and while a bit buggy, I enjoyed it enough to go with the Storm2 and simply love it. I've experienced little lag or bugs with the Storm2.
If you're an adult looking for an adult phone, the Storm2 will make you happy, especially if you travel across the globe. I've used my Storm in some fairly remote locations with little to no issues, aside from France where there telecom system is simply dreadful.
As other's suggest, go to the store and put the phone's in your hand and see which one you like. The new BB Torch is about to hit Verizon in October, you may want to hold off for that one, seems like it's a nice mix of the BB Storm and Apple I-Phone.
