Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad hotel - very nice property, really, and feels kind of "grand" as the name indicates. The main lobby could certainly be part of a movie scene. I just think there are some staff training issues or maybe the staff is just less cordial because it is such a big hotel. They are polite, as expected in Asia, but to me, it seemed distant, especially in the lounge.

I ended up canceling my weeklong reservation that I had upgraded with a suite upgrade. Reason: They had promised me a room with a separating door. I asked the lounge attendant to get a look at the room. I went there and it was the exact junior suite that is not separated at all except by a TV . As I said, I also liked the staff in the Grand Hilton better, plus I realized that the location of the Grand Hilton is indeed much more convenient to where we need to get to, so changed back to there.

One other thing that happened is that I was expecting a registered letter. I inquired and they said they had not received anything. I checked out on the 11th and called the German postal service (as their online tracking didn't really say anything) to inquire, and they said I would have to check on the Korean postal service's website with the same tracking number. I did, and it told me that the letter was delivered on the 10th at 11:31 a.m.. Considering that I had specifically asked the lady on the club floor on the 10th at about 10 a.m. to watch out for an important letter that I was about to receive, I am annoyed that until my checkout on the 11th at 2 p.m., nothing was said or delivered to me. I called them last night (evening of the 11th, when I was already in the W), and they could not locate it. They promised a call back first thing this morning, which never came, however, I received an e-mail (without reference to my call yesterday) that they received a letter and how to proceed with that .

Since I don't feel like going all the way back there, I'll ask them now to deliver the letter to the Park Hyatt, where I am about to move right now. Let's see if they can get that done.

P.S.: Not that it matters much to me, but aren't you supposed to get a Diamond amenity? Or were the two little plastic water bottles the Diamond amenity? Because that's all I got.

P.P.S.: yosithezet, seems like we just tend to miss each other!
