I just booked my first ticket for the Challenge and was kind of disappointed. I was at the airport earlier today picking up someone and went ahead and booked my ticket at the counter. I was given gold status while I'm doing the challenge and still had to pay the $30 ticketing fee. I was used to that with Continental, but I wasn't sure if charging elites the fee was practiced at American. By the time I got everyone ticketed, I had several itineraries and receipts and didn't even get a ticket folder to hold them in. It's not that big of a deal, but it's like you pay $30 and don't even get a 2 cent ticket jacket to keep all that organized in. Before you say it, I never book anything online.
