There's no confirmation that this was a "mistake rate." This is a hotel that failed to honor a rate they confirmed. Did Travelocity lie when they told the OP the booking was confirmed? Or did they lie when they told the OP they needed to cancel it? I'm not sure what the truth is, but they can't have it both ways.
Not to mention the Travelocity Guarantee: "If something isn't right on your trip and you inform us immediately, we'll work with our partners to make it right, right away." Travelocity clearly didn't do that here.
