Rent a mailbox at a UPS store or something for your packages. It's gonna be hit or miss at hotels as their business is not receiving packages for guests. We use to to many meetings at hotels, and arranging for the packages to be delivered was always a huge hassle and many times it just didn't work of they were locked up someplace when we needed them, etc.
For personal stuff like new shoes, it's so much easier to know they are being received and held for you by a company whose business it is to do that.
