One would think that it won't be high on the priority list. Certainly not direct anyway, looking at great circle route, SIN-GRU is 400 miles further than SIN-EWR. The most direct way for it to be served (one stop) is via JNB.
There might be some fanfare on SQ's part... when it codeshares with SA using their aircraft to GRU as the latter already flies the route from JNB.
