Hello Guppy10...

You are absolutely fine. Row 1 on all airbus aircraft has 4 masks each side, it is only from row 2 that they alternate sides with the additional masks. So, don't worry one little bit about it. You will be absolutely fine.

Row 1 is not an exit row per-se... It is treated as an exit row in terms of all hand baggage/personal items must be placed in the overhead lockers as there is no stowage space under a sat in front of you. However in terms of treating them the same as over wing self help exits, it is not the same, as infants, wheelchair and obese passengers can sit there. So do not worry in the slightest on that front either.

The issue of self help is what governs the restrictions on the over wing exits. But, you have glamor at the front to open the door for you if the need should ever arise and politely shove you down the escape slide, minus 2 x beers, if you hesitate at all.

Congratulations to the little tyke on 2 weeks in the big scary world!

All the very best,

BBB
