Yes, I happen to have a looong history with them in/outside Europe and have nothing but glowing praise for AE.
After much research and digging thru US/Europe's major rental aggregators I always end up booking with AE.
i.e. For my upcoming rental later this month in Switzerland, I used every discount code, promotion, corporate rate etc. that I could find with Hertz, got a quote and then called AE with my lowest quote.
In my case and without exception, they will beat the quote.
The lease is mostly through Herz and AE's customer service is the best - no gimmicks whatsoever - received always a transparent transaction with no unpleasant surprises.
(Even received once a refund for undisclosed extra charges at Heathrow Hertz)
You will receive your contract in the form of an e-voucher and it clearly states the vendor - in my case Hertz.
Best thing is you do not have to cough up the full amount in advance, just a deposit and pay the balance upon delivery.
They work out of Portland, Maine and have the nicest, helpful people as CSR's .. ^
