Panera Bread Discontinues Accepting Coupons

I ask this because I still see many auctions for these cards on ebay.

Thanks,

Jay

I talked to Corporate Office of Panera Bread. It seems that Panera Bread Stamp cards and Coupons were being sold fraudently in mass quanity on Auction websites as well as other places and they posted a sign at all their USA and Canada stores stating as of September 01, 2009, They would discontinue accepting any coupons in all their Franchise/Corporate Stores and would start a new member card program in July 2010 called "My Panera". Customers would be issued a card that is used like a point card. Customer(s) must register their complete name, address, city, state, zipcode, phone number and email address on their website. Then based on the individual visit the customer could "win" free or discounted items which they can use within a 2 month period. (Member Card is required on each visit when making any purchases/Redeeming for Free Items. 2 Free Pastrys are guaranteed ( 1 When you join and Register your card, 1 on your Birthday). Some free items I received in the past month are: Free Bagel, Free Smoothie, Free Pastry. I hope this information helps you.
