Oh what shame! My reference was to the tiny drive bypassing Koper. Nobody in Italy, Slovenia or Croatia seems to notice. Because the Slovenia bit takes about twenty minutes in quiet traffic I hardly think about it. Am I forgiven?
If Slovenia is to be considered one also might note that passing from Trieste towards Ljubljana one must stop after the immigration post to buy the Motorway tax stamp, if the car does not already have one.
