Hi, thanks for your reply!
You're right Mike- one thing that I do like was that they informed me ahead of time. Or rather, they tried to.
But what I didn't like was that when I contacted them again (line disconnected), three seperate agents confirmed that my booking was fine and told me not to worry.
I would have thought they'd leave a remark in the booking or something.
It all honesty, I don't know what rate the hotel usually goes for- I've not been to Seoul. I merely booked the cheapest hotel after sorting by rate, like I always do for every city. Our other normal site, expedia, doesnt have this hotel.
now I gotta run through the budget with the expense guy again. I wish I had a big fat corporate account!!
Like I said, I would have known it was a mistake if it was something like a dollar or two
Travelocity doesn't say it's a mistake rate- They say the right rate was placed, but the hotel would not honour the rate.
What is sad is that they keep blaming the hotel for the mistake, and not take responsibility of the issue, as what their Service Guarantee says.
I suppose I'm lucky, like Mike said, I didnt arrive in a foreign city at 9pm without a reservation. at the same time, I'm now also wary of the cheapest hotel I find in every list.
