OP you should be able to get it free when check out time.
The policy is all registered guests in the Diamond member's room (up to 4) gets breakfast. Most US properties do not charge for extra people up to 2 people in the room. International properties may charge extra beyond the first person. This is for the room rate itself.

Note that the policy is that the guest must be registered to get the free breakfast.
