I sent this to continental at the recomendation of the customer service rep at EWR.
I was originally scheduled to fly on Monday Aug 9 on flight 3361 like
I have done every week since April. At 6am the flight was canceled due
to maintenance. Luckily i hadn't left for the airport yet so i was
given an extra hour of sleep by being put on the 1030am flight(3363).
Before I left for the airport I received a notice that the flight was
delayed. I decided to give up and be rescheduled for a flight on
Tuesday morning (3361). I got to work the day from home. It was nice.
Thanks. (BTW flight 3363 was delayed and didn't take off until 12:15).
So now it's Tuesday morning (8/10) and flight 3361 was just canceled
again due to maintainence. I was put on flight 3363 that departs at
1030 (I hope).
I understand planes need to be fixed and I am glad problems with the
aircraft are being worked out on the ground rather than the air, but 2
days in a row?
I am writing to ask if there is something you can do to restore my
loyalty w/ continental. A flight voucher? A bunch of one pass miles?
Something?
Please don't make me go to JFK and fly delta.
Thanks
What have others done in this situation. I flight EWR PIT every week Mon-Thurs for work. Have been doing this since April and will probably keep doing it for at least a year. The EWR-PIT part of my flight is usually on time every week. The PIT -EWR on thursday evenings is almostnever on time, but funny enough that flight left on time last week.
