It seems that the luxury hotel options on the west coast of Malaysia are somewhat limited when Kuala Lumpur is taken out of the mix. I have the opportunity to stay at either The Westin Langkawi, The Andaman Langkawi or Pangkor Laut Resort this November for 5 nights and basically THE SAME PRICE.

The Andaman and The Westin are of course Starwood properties which would help in picking up some SPG points/nights (They've been sagging for me the last year). Just going by the locale I would pick Pangkor Laut in a heartbeat but the meal prices at PL seems to be out of this world. Anyone that can give an up-to-date word on their "menu deals"? I've been in contact with PL but I've only received individual menus and price example for an oversized buffet breakfast, 3-course lunch and 3-course dinner deal.

I've read up on these three resorts in separate threads here on the forum. Some time has passed however and my situation is somewhat special.
