That might become a problem. My understanding had been that you want to book a return yyz-lys-yyz. So you maybe want to try that and things should be fine.

BTW: just give them a call and say that you need a second seat for YYZ-LYS and see what they'll be able to offer. In the worst case I'd just ask for a second seat for yourself for YYZ-LYS and another leg back to YYZ that you can then just go to the bin.

There are several other options....it all depends on your flexibility.
