AA currently has MORE than enough long haul a/c to operate schedules. Play with the electronic schedule, and its easy to see. AA could easily spare 5 763s, 10 762s, 5 777s, and 6 or 7 AB6s and operate a full schedule.
Don't forget that 35 a/c are scheduled to head to the desert. Those 762s could be used for transcons, with the ERs on CRAF duties.
I would imagine that a 3 class a/c could be converted to hi density all econ overnight.
