Same here. However, you don't need to worry about your bags, you first have to face the border control officers whom will certainly be asking you the normal questions and from there it will also raise some flags if you are there for only 1 day? 2 days?
I think in these MR's it will even raise more flags if you have loads of luggage with you rather than only a small backpack!

I have gone through these drilling and I think experienced all at the borders of the U.S of A
