Anything in the aisle of an aircraft can cause a person to slip if running to an exit.
That person gets trampled by others in a panic.
More people fall over them.
People die as the aircraft burns before they can leave.
It's happened.
Remember, on every single aircraft that has crashed there will have been plenty of the "it will never happen to me" brigade.
