I will be visiting Toronto for two weeks with a rental car and expect to use the 407.

This document from the Ontario government suggests that you can get a transponder making a cash deposit, and then get the deposit back when you return the transponder: http://www.ipc.on.ca/images/Resources/407-e.pdf But the document is a few years old and I could not find any confirmation of this possibility anywhere else.

Does anybody know if this is still possible?
