My experiance as well. I'll take AS for short haul West Coast flights only. Took their MCO>SEA flight last fall. OUCH! Never again. I'll HAPPILY do a UA connection thru IAD, ORD or DEN next time.

Service & meal was great as usual. But damn, those F seats are killers )-:
