Who Is the Pursur/Lead Flight Attendant?
Was seated next to a gentleman last night who told me that he was a Star Gold flyer on Singapore and was flying US for the first time after connecting in CLT to DCA. Near the end of the flight and upon our approach into Reagan, he told me that he frequents this board and had read some of the horrific things that had been posted on this site about US, but he had found the flight and service onboard to be very pleasant and he wanted to let the pursur know and he asked me which flight attendant was the lead. It was at that point that I realized that US is the only major airline I've ever flown in which the pursur or lead flight attendant isn't identified at the beginning of the flight. Why is that? I finally had to tell him that I didn't know which flight attendant was in charge and suggested he extend his compliments when exiting the plane since there is always a flight attendant or two stationed at the exit door. But, it's a good question...Anybody know the answer?
