I need help interpreting some general nested ticket rules.

It is my understanding that nesting a ticket to another already booked itinerary’s origin or destination is not allowed, which makes plenty of sense. A hypothetical example of this being JFK-DFW-JFK with a nested itinerary of DFW-JFK-DFW.

So, an example of an acceptable itinerary would be DFW-MIA-DFW nested within JFK-DFW-JFK. Is this correct?

Finally, is nesting an itinerary with a connection at an airport which is part of another itinerary’s origin or destination allowed? Again, another hypothetical of this scenario: JFK-DFW-JFK with DFW-JFK-LHR-JFK-DFW (connecting in JFK to LHR) nested.
