Products of the land and sea sourced from Iceland are rather cheap nowadays -- what with the country broke -- and are exported quite readily.

Icelandic people -- especially those in fields hit hardest by Iceland's financial meltdown -- are desperate for jobs wherever they can get them and emigration seems to be higher -- although perhaps that is just a mistaken perception or a perception that takes temp assignments abroad and mistakenly classifies them as emigration -- than usual. Foreign tourists can afford Iceland more now than has been the case for decades. Foreign bankers, those with creditor claims, and exporters of used goods are busy making trips to Iceland too along with buyers of the products of Iceland's land and waters.

I really can't see as much (or more) US tourist demand for DL flights to Iceland than there is demand for US tourists to fly DL to Sweden.
