Could anyone please compare the Santiago Marriott Hotel vs The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago?

*Treatment of Plats (I know Ritz formally doesn't recognize Plat, but I didn't know if some properties do..)
*Lounge
*Other?

If it were just me i'd save the cash (Marriott is cheaper), enjoy the free lounge (the Ritz lounge is $90 more), and be happy that I was earning points for my stay. But it's not just me so...

(I don't need the marriott night to retain status)
