I know, that GMVP's- are truly special people, with extraordinary insight, with above the crowd intelligence, and above all, no assigned seat, so if they do not rush on the plane ahead of everyone else, they will not have a "place to sit", or stash all thier stuff. I would suggest, gently, that, it may be just possible, that those "adults" that appear healthy, might have a medical problem that is not apparent to someone looking and should not have to "explain" to all the special people looking on.

Personally, I normally have an assigned seat, carry a bag that will go under the seat in front of me- and if there are folks, being young or old, need extra time to go down to the plane, that is fine with me. If they "cheat"- well- we will all get to our destination at the same time. With all that can make a person irritable in the world- this is certainly way down my list.
