When you say you have a residence in Canada, do you mean you own a house, or you actually have a home, pay utility under your name, etc? Do you still have your health insurance from Canada?

If so, you are still considered a resident in the eyes of Revenue Canada, and have all the obligations and some benefits that comes with it.
