The million mile recognition program has more than one facet than public recognition. It is also a marketing tool to attract flying business on AC. By being upfront on this recognition program, FF flyers could direct their business to AC when they have the choice.

In fact, as I posted earlier, I have not flown revenue on AC since October 2004 and would consider coming back if I knew more about the program and my balance in relation to achieving lifetime status.
Lifetime status is what drove me to UA and AA's affinity credit card with RBC and now TD.
