I'm not quite sure I follow your logic, but if you're referring to the current double mile bonus with Finnair, you'll notice the language in the promotion is quite specific about the trans-Atlantic flights. Only AY metal and marketed count. You would have to fly to JFK to catch the AY flight to HEL. Otherwise, only the AY miles on continental Europe will count.
