I agree but I was commenting more on the comments by other posters that DM is of particular value for IROPs and Upgrades. While DM does technically come before PM in the order of UG and likely the level of service during IROPs the "pool" of people is exactly the same as it was last year. That is really why I do not understand the comments like "stay PM so us DM's can get even more upgrades"...that is just not true. If you want the SC membership and 25% more bonus MQM's that is really the incremental value. I think people are fooling themselves into thinking DM gives them a big advantage for UG's when in fact it really is just a small advantage.

Said another way: If this year you have a FC wait list that is 3 deep with DM's, 22 deep with PM's then the only difference between this year and last is that 3 of the people are POTENTIALLY higher on the list this year. Last year it would have been 25 PM on the wait list and the folks who are DM this year may well have been at the top of the list as Plats last year.
