Depending what the OP means by a small city...there's a good chance the arrival will be a Horizon flight...which means C gates. No matter what...even if I knew I were arriving one gate away, I'm not sure I'd depend on a 45 minute connection being enough time to grab food at all - if you're toward the back of the plane, and you arrive at the gate even 5 minutes late, your OGG flight will likely be well into boarding by the time you get to the gate even without a food stop.
