[QUOTE=Crocodile;14427095]I can only speak for myself, but when I see the Singapore FAs walk through the airport, they look much more professional and interesting than the Cathay FAs.
I even prefer the Thai, Emirates and Malaysian uniforms - at least they have some character that expresses something about their airline/home. The Cathay ladies uniform is just a bit dull - it could be mistaken for a Qantas or BA uniform.
I would like to see Cathay show a bit of Chinese culture in the uniforms. If Cathay is meant to be Hong Kong's world airline, why don't the uniforms feel abit more like Hong Kong or Asia? (and I mean the good bits)
well I would rather see the character in the service than the uniform. As a TG/SQ frequent flyer for 10 years I agree the uniforms looked great but once the service became so average on TG in particular I really didn't care about the uniforms. Actually on my CX flight today the number 2 FA ( I always forget the offical title and don't want to guess as I know I'll be instantly corrected!) asked me what I thought of the new uniform that one of the junior FA's was wearing. I agree its not that different and told her so but also said I didn't really care as long as the uniform was comfortable for the staff and that the service was good. She said the blouses were too short and likely to rise up when closing the overhead lockers

I didn't see this as a big problem but she obviously read my mind and said "maybe not for the juniors but it is for me after 20 years!" I begged to disagree

She then asked me if I had seen the financial results and that the staff were getting a 2 week bonus
At the end of the flight I said "well hope to see you again" and she said "its quite likely as I've been here so long I have no alternative"

Through the whole conversation she had a great smile (the service had been great as well) and really this was just wonderful banter and far more important to me than what they wear. I really would enjoy to see her again whatever uniform she was wearing
