Last week, I tried booking a one-day paid stay at ES O'Hare and it showed it as being available for HHDs only (as you indicated: "May Be Available Diamond Privilege"). I went ahead booked it for a steep rate of $280, under a code designated as "HHONORS PREFERED GTD." I just now checked it again and it is being shown as available for 71% of the initial rate ($199) for the same dates!! I just successfully canceled the previous reservation and rebooked at the lower rate. Would this "HHONORS PREFERED GTD" be part of what they call the "Diamond Force"?
when you request a room through 'diamond force', it can either be done using points or as a regular revenue stay....

if you are using points then the same number of points would be used as if it were a regular points redemption stay....

if its a revenue stay then you will be charged rack rate by the property....

maybe the $280 rate was the rack rate the property was charging you, but then in between that time & now someone cancelled their reservation & another room opened up to be put on sale....today you managed to get that room for $199....
