Thanks JimBo - I guess I will have to give them a call about the fare code. It seems to me that the fare code is something that e-ticket purchasers should be able to see, just like I would see it if I had purchased a hard copy ticket! Maybe I will send a note to somebody at AA - wish me luck!
P.S. I had requested the upgrade anyway using upgrade coupons, but hopefully I won't need to use them!
