I have learned through the years, to not count on time to "pick something up" unless you have a couple of hours- since there are many arrivals that are late, and most of the time they start boarding at least 30 minutes before take off and it can be very stressful to try to "grab somethig". To be sure, I now "pack a lunch"- or breakfast, as the case may be. I have a small lunch sac that keeps things cool- put it in the refrigerator the night before, load it up with apples, a sandwich (with the lettuce and pickles separate)- grapes in season, carrots, or whatever I have for veggies- and then carry another bag with napkins, and snacks, i.e. chips, nuts, power bars, or breakfast bars, cookies. I put it all in my carry-on- and there we are. They serve drinks on the plane- so no liquid problem. This all has been working well for some time. rlb
