I don't mind see crazy ideas fail - after all weren't all the stuff we're using today once "crazy" ideas? Microwave, nuclear energy, solar panels, computers.. even flying was thought as crazy a few hundred years ago.. it's the human ideas that bring civilisation forward, many million ideas make one little progress.
And this idea isn't even that crazy. It might make some sense for China.
