Is 18 Sep the date printed on your visa? If so then it is simply the date by which you must enter China. Once you enter China you can stay for 30/60/90 days depending on what is printed on your visa.

For example, if you have a visa that allows 30 days per stay which expires on 18 Sep, then assuming you enter on the 18th, you will be allowed to stay until 18 Oct.
