can vouch for that.
we had irrops from the beginning as inbound LX flight to LHR was late by 1hr due to block time restrictions. to add insult to injury LHR lost a dog who ought to travel on our flight. To cut a long story short, we landed in ZRH 15 minutes before our schedule departure to SFO. People who connect to US bound flights have to understand that normal pedestrian connection is impossible in 15 minutes (involves traveling to "int'l terminal" and US inbound security check. To add insult to injury my BP was ordained with SSSS.
Now, not only we (3 pax inbound from London) made our connection in these 15 minutes including extra security check for me, our luggage made it too! We were meet by the jetbridge by Swiss rep - not sure what's her name otherwise I'll definitely send a mail of commendation to cus servise - the only thing I remember is lapel pin identifying her as a station manager. She took us in her car and field-delivered to int'l terminal, facilitated security and seen us to the plane.
That's customer service. In past several years I used to fly United and their motto was "we are sorry you fly with us".. this is striking contrast not only with UA but with LX parent, LH which in times of irrops do something, but nothing above what's written in their manual.
Needless to say LX is now N1 on my list of choices (that's 2nd time they saved the connection - and it's the only thing that counts - I can forgive them sending my luggage to BKK instead of LHR once

)
Edited to add: kudos for this travel for seatmaps discussion - flying out of SFO soon, seat 4k as recommended by many
