Does anyone know have experience with the Delta Medical Fares and are they a lot cheaper than normal fares? If they are can you talk Delta into letting you buy them if it really isn't a medical emergency?

Reason I ask is my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to her ribs an brain and it hasn't gotten better so they basically gave her a few years.

Everyone in the family we arent not a big family just 6 of us wants to take her and her son on a trip to San Diego and visit Shamu, the Zoo and even drive up to Anaheim as shes never been to Disney in her 44 years of life heck I am not even sure if she's even left NY.

Because of her medical bills among other things moneys tight so was wondering if any of you had experience with the medical fares and knew if Delta allowed you to use those fares for someone that is terminally ill but not in need of emergency medical attention.

Was going to call Delta and ask but for some reason felt more comfy asking here than calling. Not sure why.
