Not quite true.
AA inaugurated DFW-LGW in 1982.
AA then added DFW-CDG and DFW-FRA in 1985, followed by ORD-FRA also in 1985.
1987 saw the addition of DFW-ZRH/GVA as well as JFK-CDG and JFK-FRA.
1988 saw the addition of DFW-MAD, as well as JFK-ZRH and RDU-CDG.
